Tin Tin Tin

Do you have several years worth of old tins?
Christmas tins, cookie tins, popcorn tins.
This is a fun and quick revamp for them!
I found the idea on Pinterest.
You can hit up your local thrift store, like I did.

 Paid $.20-$.50 for each tin.
I made sure they were in good shape, clean, and all gold inside.

 One can of Krylon in "Jade" $4 at Joanns.
{I used the same can on the Kitchenaid make over.}

3 thin coats later......

I love how the gold pops!

 For the tags I used some cute blank wood tags and scrapbook paper.
I just happened to have some with jade and gold!

Some Mod Podge and twine:

Finished!
I think they will make for cute odds and ends storage in the kitchen or the girls' room.

    These turned out so cute! What a great idea! I usually pass up tins at garage sales, but you've opened up a whole new world to me! I never thought of painting them!

    My goodness...Why have I never thought of this!? It's perfect I have wanted aqua tins for my semi-retro kitchen, and they are so pricey at places like Pier one. Thanks for the clever idea! You ARE among the craftiest of women. Found you through REDOUX. Hope you'll stop and see me at Quirky Vistas.

    Great project idea. The finished product looks like something that you would buy at a store for a chunk of change. Thanks for sharing - I have a lot of canisters that need some attention.
