Mint and Mercury

The other day my husband I were both sick in bed and I was bored.
I kept glancing at the dresser in my closet and was unhappy with it.
It was stained a light green. Hated it. Always had, but it was a freebie.
Finally, after enough sitting around I jumped up and started mixing paint samples right there in our bedroom.
(And one wall in my room now has stripes of various shades of paint from me testing colors....luckily, I plan on actually painting the bedroom someday and those will be hidden.)
The combination I came up with made me happy!
Sort of a Tiffany's Blue/Mint color.
I had seen these lovely knobs at Anthropologie and just loved them.
But I didn't like the $10 each price tag!
Luckily, I found these:
For half the price at!

Now I don't hate my dresser.
I actually really love the mercury and mint mixed together.

My husband was a good sport about it even.
Turns out, one of the stripes on the wall he liked so much he wants the bedroom painted in it!
So really, I killed two birds with one stone.

  1. they really do work magically together.

  2. Looks great! I would love for you to share this or any of your great ideas at the link party going on now (and every Saturday through Tuesday) at 'Or so she says ...' Also, don't miss the Sweethearts Giveaway starting on Monday with over $2,000 in prizes. Hope to see you there!

  3. It looks great! I like the combination too.

  4. Love those knobs against that color. Hope you recovered while painting!

  5. I love that color. I just found an odd shaped bowl at a thrift store that same color that I had to have.
