Master bathroom, Stage 1

(colour: Martha Stewart-Rainwater)
That's all I got.
Well, and some curtains.

The color was from a sample I had wanted to use on our bedroom.
For some reason, it looks super dark blue on our wall.
???
Paint can be tricky like that!
ONE little sample paint was made to stretch to paint this.
(One door was black for about 2 weeks while I made up my mind.)
I mixed it with plaster of Paris and some water to make chalk paint.
That stuff COVERS and SPREADS.
Waste not, right?
All these little sample cans I have need to be used too!
So far, they have been super handy for furniture pieces.

Hopefully the doors will have pulls next week.
And next month we will be doing the bead board and molding!!
My light fixtures will have to wait awhile, the are a little more than I had budgeted for originally, but will be worth the wait!
I also plan on having a frame made to put around the mirror.
ALL in good time my friends!

  1. That is such a great idea! Could you go and cover it some sort of a sealant?

    The color is gorgeous!

    1. I did put a protective top coat over the color! You can use Minwax Polycrylic or something similar. :)

  3. Wow! I love the color! It's amazing what a little bit of paint can do to brighten things up. Can't wait to see how it looks when it's all done.
