Marble Buffet

Found this treasure on Craiglist for less than $80,
found the same exact treasure on Ebay for $400.
So I think I paid the better price.

It is actually a well known furniture brand,
I just liked how it looked!

The slab on top is marble and I knew I needed to frame it.
I've been looking for a taller leg buffet, but not too tall.
The formal living room will have a low wall that needed something.
Something geometric and fun.

 I love it!
I gave it a high gloss paint job and framed in the marble with blue.

The hardware were vintage gold, cylinder things.
Hated them.
So they got switched out with some distressed blue as well.

It was totally worth the 4 hour, round trip drive.

Yup. 4 hours.
I know, I'm insane.
RECAP!

    1. Thank you so much! Yes, I really don't think the lady new what she was selling! Wiemenn sells for a pretty penny for some of their pieces. Hence my willing to drive 4 hours with the twins in tow to get it!

  2. This is an amazing transformation! I love the marble on top, love the blue that you chose for edging it, and love the blue's contrast with the white--it is just lovely, and you did a great job on it!

  11. Wow, this is really such a cool piece! It looks like it is really long and only coffee table height. What are its dimensions? What are you going to use it for? Nice transformation!

    1. Thank you! It is 5 feet long and 22" tall. (So a bit bigger than a coffee table.) It will be going along a low wall that separates the formal living room from the great room. :)
