Day Fourteen, Fifteen, and Sixteen, November 16, 2011

I am thankful for Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.

After 10 years of having babies, I have come to appreciate every nap, early night, and late morning that comes my way.

One of my favorite things is that Raedin comes and snuggles in my bed every morning. EVERY MORNING for 4 years. He usually brings his "froggy blanket" with him, but has been known to bring: froggy blanket, monkey pillow, green blanket, mario blanket, and yellow donkey. ALL at the same time.

Afton has never been a cuddler really, but has started to want to curl up with me on a couch or bed at night. She likes to put her finger on my eye and say "nigh-nigh". She has started to stay up after the other kids just to fall asleep on our laps.

Éowyn is a snuggle bug! She loves to lay her head on a shoulder, curl up in a ball by your side, or just be squeezed into giggles. She won't sleep anywhere but her crib or carseat, so rocking her to sleep doesn't happen very often, but when it does, nothing else gets done as I don't want it to end.

Evelynn use to cuddle with Nate in bed every morning. I have plenty of pictures to prove it. She still likes to from time to time, but I think her big girlness is kicking in and not allowing her to do so. She is the only one of kids who knows how to SLEEP IN. I pry her out of bed most mornings.

Taylor would be embarrassed if you knew, so I'm going to tell you. She still climbs in bed with us when she has nightmares. She says having daddy by her helps them go away. She has started to outgrow the cuddles and snuggles with us, her little siblings get it all. Very often you can find her with one or two of the little ones on her lap, under a blanket, reading or playing her DS. Mostly, she is our early riser. Up with the sun. However, she takes care of the babies and gets everyone breakfast so mom and dad can get just a little more sleep. We have never asked her to, she just does it and I am so grateful to her for having that intuition and love.
